What do you think alternative tourism means? Tourism in Bulgaria What do you think alternative tourism means? Is the opposite of mass tourism (i.e. package holidays). It is sustainable, often environmentally friendly, and fits in with the local culture. Tourists often get to see a side of the country that they wouldn’t see on a ‘traditional’ holiday.

Tourism in Bulgaria Today we are learning about… alternative tourism and what it comprises. By the end of the lesson… ALL can label a map (Level 4) MOST will be able to give examples of alternative tourism and explain why they are alternative tourism (Level 5) SOME will be able to give an explanation for how alternative tourism benefits a country (Level 6-7)
