Hourly Pay Rates Support Assistant $8.84/hour Support Associate Other rates require approval by the HR Director
Breaks/lunch If a part-time hourly or student works MORE than 5 hours they MUST take a unpaid 30 minute break/lunch. If it does not state on their timesheet that a break was taken when they work more than 5 hours, payroll will deduct 30 minutes.
Student vs. Non-Student Student if registered in 6 or more credits after 10th day Each quarter (after 10th day), call Debbie Adams (x3362) or Human Resources (x3403 or x3405) to verify Student hours are not tracked – Only hourly employees
Pt hourly authorization form (blue form) If payroll does not have a blue form on file, the employee will not get paid, regardless if we have a timesheet. It’s your responsibility as a supervisor to make sure that the blue form is submitted prior to the employee working.
70 hours – per month – Retirement The Number Watch 70 hours – per month – Retirement 350 hours – 12 month period - Union Representation 480 hours – 6 month average - Health Insurance
Retirement 70 hours or more 5 times in any non-consecutive 12 month period (1 year “grace period”) Start of 6 month of second year Position, not a person
350 hours in a 12-month period = Union dues – Employee Chooses: Union Representation 350 hours in a 12-month period = Union dues – Employee Chooses: 1.07% of gross – non-member but represented (can’t vote), or; 1.5% of gross - full-member College’s opinion on this
Health Insurance $850 per month out of department budget Average of 80 hours per month in a consecutive 6 month period (480 total hours) Ex: January-June, February-July $850 per month out of department budget Continues until complete break in service for one month Goes retro back to start of 7th month
