Update of ESH Activities Shanghai, February 21~23, 2010 2011. 2. 21 Goog morning! How was your flight to Shanghai. I’m pretty much honoured to make a presentation concerning KSIA ESH Activities on behalf of KSIA member companies. The activities that I am going to introduce today are mainly fucusing on each Working Groups’ work rather than POST 2010. ESH Activities in KSIA will be going on from next slide. 1

Contents PFC Energy Saving Quantitative Targets PFOS

KSIA PFC (MMTCE / Normalized) PFC – PFC Emission Trend ▣ PFC Target Achieved, 18% PFC reduced compared to Baseline value KSIA PFC (MMTCE / Normalized) MMTCE kg CO2/cm2 Unit 1997 2010 Target Remark MMTCE 0.676 0.559 0.608 8 % more reduced

Energy Saving – Energy Usage Trend ▣ Normalized Water decreased at the average rate of 5.0% from 2001 to 2010 KSIA Energy (kWh/cm2) Average -5.0%/yr Category Unit 2001 2010 NER kWh/cm2 1.78 0.97

Quantitative Targets – Water ▣ Normalized Water decreased at the average rate of 5.5% from 2001 to 2010 KSIA Water (L/cm2) Average -5.5%/yr Category Unit 2001 2010 NER L/cm2 12.85 6.54

Quantitative Targets – Waste ▣ Normalized Waste decreased at the average rate of 5.4% from 2001 to 2010 KSIA Waste (gr/cm2) Average -5.4%/yr Category Unit 2001 2010 NER gr/cm2 48.34 24.95

PFOS - 2010 Mass Balance (KSIA Internal data) Total amount of PFOS used : 11.80 kg/yr (67.5% dropped compared to 2009, 36.30 kg) Total estimated amount incinerated : 11.74 kg/yr Total estimated potential release : 0.06 kg/yr (emission to water)
