Number Sentence Challenge Name: _______________ Date: __________ March Tic-Tac-Toe Number Order As you solve the cards in your flash card deck, sort them in order from least to greatest according to sun or difference. Tell Me A Story Make up a word problem for your fact. (Choose 3 facts) Digital Practice Log into Xtramath.org or Dreambox (2 tokens) Flash Card Search Lay 10-20 fact cards face up on a table. Have an adult call out a sum or difference. Find a fact card to match. Number Sentence Challenge Pick a number between 10 and 20. Think of 5 interesting number sentences that equal that number. Use addition and subtraction. Be creative! Speed Game Using a stopwatch, time how long it takes to answer all the fact cards in your deck. Challenge: Do this 2 or 3 times. Inverses (Related Facts) Write the subtraction fact that goes with your addition face. (Choose 5 Facts) Make a Picture Create a picture for each fact using small objects (stamps, stickers, stencils). Choose 5 facts. *You may email a photo if using small items (paper clips, beans, etc.) instead of gluing and sending in. Directions: Each night, choose an activity to study your math facts. Color the square of the activity chosen. Three of the activities should form a straight line on the mat to make tic-tac-toe. The fourth activity can be any square remaining on the mat.
