WebAssign Student login Instructions

WebAssign helps students learn, not just do homework. Engages instead of drills to elevate thinking and foster a deeper understanding of course concepts

Enroll into your WebAssign course 1. Visit: https://www.webassign.net/wa-auth/login 2. Your instructor will provide you with your username, institution and password for the initial login 3. Enter your username, institution and password on the left-hand side underneath “LINK YOUR WEBASSIGN ACCOUNT”. Press Sign In.

Creating your WebAssign & Nelson/Cengage Accounts

Create an account 4a. The next step is to create a Cengage/Nelsonbrain account. Use your username/student ID number with “@umanitoba.ca” as your email address. Example: 12345@umanitoba.ca 4b. Fill out the required fields and select “I have read and agree to the CengageBrain Service Agreement”. Select “Create Account”.

Signing in 5. Your accounts will now be linked. You can sign in at webassign.net on the right hand side using the newly created username/password (example: 12345@umanitoba.ca)

Verify Payment After creating your account, you will be logged in. You have a 14 day Grace Period from your WebAssign course start date before you have to enter your access code. 6a. If you do not have an access code, click I’ll do it later. 6b. If you have an access code or want to purchase one, click Verify Payment. 6b 6a

Purchase Access 6d 6c Access Code Card 6c. If you do not have an access code card: DO NOT purchase access through your WebAssign account. You will be charged in US dollars. 6d. If you have an access card or purchased access online already: Redeem your access code. 6d 6c Access Code Card

You’re All Set! That’s it! You’ve successfully registered for WebAssign! The course that has been set up for you by your instructor(s) appears on your personalized homepage. If you have more than one course, simply select the course you want to work with from the pull-down menu. 9
