Welcome to Step 3! Today You Will: Get Your Tablets! Review basic Tablet functions Reset the time-out screen settings Connect to PIMA’s wifi Sync your keyboard Create a security lock code Download the Vital Source Bookshelf App See if you have books to download to your Tablet

Power on your Tablet! 2. Lets review some basic functions of your Tablet: Your Tablet has a touch screen, & you can navigate around using some of the following………….

Let’s get started… Click on your Settings Icon to: Change your display settings to prevent premature sleep mode 2. Connect to PIMA’s WiFi 3. Bluetooth pairing of the keyboard with your device

First things first… Change your display settings: Settings ➔ Display➔ Screen Timeout➔ Change to 30minutes 2. WiFi: From Settings ➔ Wi-Fi➔ Pima Denver South ➔ Password: a5b4c3d2e1

Next! 3. Bluetooth: From Settings ➔ Select Bluetooth & turn on keyboard and wait for it to “pair” Your device should be set so that it is not visible to other devices

Protect your tablet! Next, lock your screen with a password/pattern you WILL remember: From Settings ➔ Lock Screen ➔ Screen Lock ➔ Select Password, Pin or Pattern & change it to something you will not forget to protect your Tablet & all your information

Ready to access your E-Books?

Log in ➔ & click on My Courses Open up a course Go to: online.pmi.edu Log in ➔ & click on My Courses Open up a course Your Log in info should include: first initial of first name, last name, birth month & last 3 digits of SSN (Ex: abrown1265) Your password is your 8 digit birth date. (01251985)

Find the Google Play Store icon on your tablet Now it’s time to get our E-Books! If you have an eBook it will appear here! This is the 1st way to access your book… Remember Google Play? Click your book to open! Find the Google Play Store icon on your tablet

Here’s your book on the VitalSource website through Black Board!

Open up the Play Store App from the main screen Now let’s get your eBooks on your tablet! You won’t need WiFi after this! Open up the Play Store App from the main screen

You created an account already, click on existing

Skip through the next few screens until you are HERE Search for VitalSource Bookshelf & select the free App

Now your Bookshelf has been downloaded onto your Tablet! Next, open your Bookshelf App
