Academic background B.S. in Ed./Chem. &Physics. 1994 Univ. of Alexandria, Egypt B.S In Eastern Theology 1999 Theology school of Alexandria Academic training program at UMBC 2000 Univ. of Maryland Chemistry teacher, Secondary school License State of Delaware Nov 2004 Currently enrolled in a master program at Upenn MCEP @ Univ. of Pennsylvania 2006

Where and what I teach now ? I teach @ Brandywine High school Wilmington, DE (I work for the best school in the best district in DE. ( GO Bulldog) Last year I taught a Concept, and 5 CP. Chemistry classes. (6 classes, 30 students each !) This year 2006-2007 I’ll teach 4 CP. Classes, one Honor class, and one Honor lab (all Chemistry).

Previous teaching employment Middle school (physical Sic.) 95-2000 Alexandria, Egypt. (public school) Physical Sic., and Chemistry @Aquinas Academy, Bear, DE 2002-2003 Chemistry teacher @BHS since Jan, 2004

My classroom style! Chemistry is FUN! Yes it’s my theme. Chemistry without lab is not Chemistry! Students work in groups most the time. 4 main projects through the year, one each MP. (paper, presentations……). My best lesson when I connect what I teach to my students’ lives. My grading system 40% tests, 15% quizzes, 10% H.W, 20% lab, 5% project, 10 Class participation.

My classroom design I keep seating in half circle shape. Have 12 new computers, internet connection, overhead, VCR and TV. Some Vernier probes. Looking to have projector. (looking for fund). Do you have some!
