Perimeters and Area of Polygons Today I will be able to: use coordinates to find the length of a side joining points with the same first coordinate or the same second coordinate or apply the known area formulas. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems. So that I can learn how to: calculate the perimeter and area of regular and irregular figures I will show I know it when I can read the problem, verbally discuss, and then write the solutions to complete at least 3 real world or mathematical problems independently with at least 80% accuracy to form a tic-tac-toe. 6.G.A.3

Vocabulary: Polygon Compose Decompose Area Perimeter Irregular Length Width

How do you feel?

Classwork/Homework: Complete at least 3 problems to form a tic-tac-toe and create at least another tic-tac-toe for homework. If finished early try a coverall

Accommodations Read or reread presentation or activity directions, as needed or after prompting Use examples to model and act as a guide for emerging learners
