Quaver verb to shake “Hallenbeck just sort of nodded and chortled, absorbing the insults, his soft belly quavering under his shirt.”

Distaste noun A strong feeling of dislike “She wasn’t buying a word of it and could scarcely conceal her distaste for Cody.”
