God Incarnated John’s Purpose Book Prologue Jn 20:30-31, but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Prologue Jn 1:1-18, Jesus Was from God, was God, and performed the works of God Make note of the purpose of the ENTIRE book. Everything John writes makes the case for believing that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God John starts his book making the case for Jesus being Deity. Omnipresent, Omniscience, Omnipotent all are referenced. For his audience there was no reason to make a case that Jesus was a human. That would be assumed by everybody, at least until they realized he was Deity, then the case for Humanity would need to be made, which is done in scripture.
