Housing & Dining Services History First Year Undergraduate Student Requirement with meal plan Returning student optional housing Married student housing Graduate and International student housing Meeting the needs of diverse students and families living on campus Partner across the institution to support student success/retention All First year students required to live on campus in res halls with a meal plan. SHAP – 2007 – HDS committed to house 20% of students on campus This year we have close to 8000 students living on campus in halls and apartments Up to 6500 in res halls 1100 apartments including by the bedroom, graduate, and family housing ~ 900 at Aggie Village Of Note Dining Centers have all been updated and are open to the public. If you wish to dine in one of our centers you can pay by credit card. The Foundry in Corbett and Parmalee is our most recent renovation. Micro-restaurants include Passports international cuisine, Comida Mexican cuisine, 1870 Colorado or local foods, Theory offers student favorites, The Kosher Bistro, Root Vegan food, Piatto Italian food, and the Creamery offering Walrus Icecream

Future Development Alyesworth and Newsom site will be redeveloped into housing for first year students. The design build team has been hired. The project has not yet been designed Alyesworth first, then Newsom in phase 2 In 2000 a facilities audit identified three buildings that were not viable for renovation and ongoing use. Newsom is one of these buildings K-12 enrollments continue to grow until 2025 and the population of Northern Colorado continues to grow We need to expand the first year housing options for the live on requirement along with housing upper class students who wish to stay on campus.
