Tagapagpadaloy ng Pagbabago – 12 [GREETING, INTRODUCE SELF AS FACILITATOR] Ang Kaaya-ayang Pinuno i-Pantawid TP12

TP12 – Ang Kaaya-ayang Pinuno Leadership styles and roles Leadership qualities As Parent Leaders, we have to be good leaders. Let’s review some of our previous topics and then go into a new topic that is very important for leaders – Project Planning. i-Pantawid eFDS 12

We first discussed leadership in our Foundation Session, the first time we met. Let’s review some terms. [READ & DISCUSS] i-Pantawid TP12

Leadership Styles Authoritarian or Autocratiko Provide clear expectations for what needs to be done, when it should be done, and how it should be done Participative or Democratiko Offer guidance to group members, but they also participate in the group and allow input from other group members Delegative or Laissez-faire or Delegado Offer little or no guidance to group members and leave decision-making up to group members Authoritarian leadership is best applied to situations where there is little time for group decision-making or where the leader is the most knowledgeable member of the group. Lewin’s study found that participative leadership, also known as democratic leadership, is generally the most effective leadership style. Democratic leaders offer guidance to group members, but they also participate in the group and allow input from other group members. In Lewin’s study, children in this group were less productive than the members of the authoritarian group, but their contributions were of a much higher quality. Participative leaders encourage group members to participate, but retain the final say over the decision-making process. Group members feel engaged in the process and are more motivated and creative. Delegative is useful when training people for leadership or management and there is time to adjust decisions. Review leadership styles and roles. Gather examples from participants when each leadership style is most useful to apply. [Example, Authoritarian in an emergency] i-Pantawid TP12

Leadership Roles Create an inspiring vision and lead by example Pumukaw ng pangarap at maging uliran Empower, inspire and energize people Magbigay ng kapangyarihan, pumukaw, pasiglahin ang kasama Build and lead a team Magbuo ng pangkat You are all Parent Leaders here. Let’s look at leadership roles. [READ AND DISCUSS] i-Pantawid TP12
