Ensuring continued development and monitoring of the Toolbox Bryce Hartley

The importance of continuity Maximize the outcome Upkeep Momentum Limited resources ROI Less effort than development Still requires a concerted effort Keep users engaged The importance of continuity

ICT Specific Considerations Easily modified Trackable Users desire continuously updated information and features Limited Internet access ICT Specific Considerations

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation Traffic monitoring Google analytics Regular newsletters to subscribers Surveys Communication with national partners Ongoing monitoring and evaluation

Stakeholder buy-in and ownership Interactive Process An Collaboration Multi-stakeholder ownership Distributed workload Appropriate tools Ripple effect Creating the Toolbox and its components in collaboration with national partners spreads the ownership of the Toolbox beyond the UN With more involvement from different parties it lessens the workload per person Since national partners helped create many of the tools, they are more useful to them As a consequence, they will naturally use the tools more frequently Ripple effect National partners will continue to promote and use the Toolbox with their own partners and implementers Increasing the number of users and contributors An interactive process Users are also contributors The Toolbox is a place to promote successful programmes and policies as well as learn from the experience of others Stakeholder buy-in and ownership

The future of the Youth Policy Toolbox 2018-2021 Demographic dividend ECA & ESCAP joint project Build on the Toolbox Gender Education and employment The website will continue to be actively developed and used as part of a joint ECA and ESCAP project on harnessing the demographic dividend with a focus on the gender dimension 2018-2021 Rather than creating an entirely new online platform, the UN will further develop the Toolbox, adding more resources specifically relevant to the demographic transition in Africa and Asia and the Pacific Just as the SDGs are interlinked, so is all of our work Youth employment and education are key components to enabling countries to benefit from their demographic dividend The future of the Youth Policy Toolbox

Thank you!
