HMC-1 Upstream - 1 Development of Measurement Training Syllabus Syllabus completed. Trying to liaise with the Flow Measurement Institute (FMI) on implementation plans for the syllabus. Update to be received at HMC 1 meeting June 21st. HM 8 On Line Densitometers Document completed. Will be circulated for ballot between 12th June to 2nd July. HM 23 Electric and/or electronic pulsed data cabled transmission for fluid metering systems and HM 24 Electrical and/or electronic data capture systems for flow metering First draft is complete. Does not cover HM 24 very well. To be discussed at next HMC 1 meeting 21st June. HM 26 Liquid Metering Systems Final draft completed ballot 30th April. All comments reviewed and answered. Sent to publications. HM 27 Gas Metering Systems Final draft circulated for full ballot 1st May until 21st May.

HMC-1 Upstream - 2 HM 45 Statistical control of volumetric metering systems using meter control charts – simplified method. Ready for formal ballot. Will be circulated between 22nd May and 11th June. Update to HM 54 Guidelines for the management of measurement for the UK upstream oil and gas industry Stakeholder review completed. Once comments reviewed and actioned, will be circulated for full ballot. HM 56 / API MPMS TR 2570, Continuous On-line Measurement of Water Content in Petroleum (Crude Oil and Condensate) HMC ballot supports HM 56 to be jointed with new API Ch.10.10. Denis Pinto will be EI focal point. Update to HM 60 Guidelines for the auditing of measurement systems for oil and gas streams HM 60 is currently focused on the UK Oil and Gas Industry and an update is required to make scope more International. The first draft of the update has been completed and circulated to HMC-1 for review. Once comments addressed will be circulated for full ballot.

HMC-2 Refineries and downstream - 1 HM 9 Gantry meter installation Update will incorporate HM 41 Performance of turbine meters in gantries. No progress. HM 10 Meter proving: field guide to proving meters with a pipe prover Update will incorporate HM 12 Meter proving: Code of practice for the design, installation and calibration of pipe provers and HM 46 Guidance notes on the application and performance of small volume provers. No progress. HM 11 Meter proving: Code of practice for the proving of metering systems on road/rail loading petroleum gantries Update will incorporate HM 48 Code of practice for the proving of loading gantry meters. No progress. HM 15 Meter proving: Calibration of reference meters used for gantry meter proving – calibration using a small volume prover Update to incorporate HM 16 Meter proving: Calibration of reference meters used for gantry meter proving – using volumetric and gravimetric tank methods. No progress.

HMC-2 Refineries and downstream - 2 HM 31 Guide to hydrocarbon management in petroleum refinery operations Draft was circulated for HMC-2 to review. Review comments to be collated and circulated for full ballot. HM 32 Guide to product hydrocarbon management at petroleum product marketing and distribution terminals Update work ongoing. Revised draft sent to HMC-2 to review and decide approach. No progress. HM 34 List of data required for a comprehensive evaluation of a liquid flowmeter First draft of update completed and circulated for shareholder review. Comments received. Will be circulated for full ballot shortly. HM 39 A guide to recommend measurement practice for compliance with the requirements of HMRC Notice 179 Minor revisions made following review by HMRC members. It has been suggested that further changes are made to remove references to obsolete documents and remove topics that are not relevant. Draft circulated to HMC-2 to review. No progress.

HMC-3 Cargo inspection - 1 HM 1 Part 1 / API Ch. 12.1.1 Calculation of Static Petroleum Quantities - Upright Cylindrical Tanks and Marine Vessels Comments from EI for API ballot, now awaiting outcome of API as further amendments considered necessary before document can be accepted. Felt document needs a full review. HM 21 Static and dynamic measurement of light hydrocarbons liquids. Section 1: Calculation procedures Undergoing review. No update received. HMC 3 meeting to be held 22nd May. HM 68 Procedures for bulk liquid fatty acid esters and bio diesel cargo inspections Update work underway and WG meeting held on 1st November. No update received HM 43 Temperature corrections in tank calibration and gauging Review is underway. HM 55 / API Ch. 17.10.2 Measurement of refrigerated and/or pressurized cargoes on board marine gas carries - Liquefied petroleum and chemical gases Discussed at API meeting Dallas in March. Notes circulated.

HMC-3 Cargo inspection - 2 HM 62 Guidelines for cargo inspection order management 2nd Edition published, March 2018. IP 200 Guidelines for the use of the Petroleum Measurement Tables IP 200 update initiated now that ISO 91 Temperature and pressure volume correction factors has been published. WG to be convened.

Joint Sampling Work Group HM 92 Model Sampling Plans for crude oil and liquid hydrocarbon products Still awaiting update of EI/JIG 1530 to see if revision of HM 92 required.
