PHOPOSYNTHESIS

The leaf is the main site of Photosynthesis The leaf is the main site of Photosynthesis. Its broad thinlamina (blade) is an Adaptation for this proces Glucose is a high energy product if photosynthesis. It travels to all parts of the plant through the phloem Sunlight, which is absorbed by chloroplast in the leaf, provides the energy for Photosynthesis Water, a raw material in the soil travels to the Leaf from the root via the Xylem Oxygen a product of Photosynthesis leaves the leaf through stomata on the lower surface of the lamina (blade) Carbon dioxide and raw material in the air entered in the leaf through stomata

Carbon dioxide is absorbed through pores in the leaves called stomata The remaining oxygen goes out into the air Water and minerals are drawn up through the stem Water is drawn up through the roots Minerals are drawn from the soil
