Star Student Shining Stars Friday Shout Out Big Shout Out SHOOT FOR THE STARS! Star Student – Chosen by each teacher from Big Shout Out students. Takes place once per Mini Semester. Ceremony in which parents and classmates are invited. Students receive a t-shirt, selected goodies, breakfast refreshments and special recognition from teachers. Big Shout Out – Chosen from Friday Shout Outs who have appeared 2 or more times on any PBIS list. Takes place once per Mini Semester. Includes but not limited to an Ice Cream Social, Escape Bus, etc.). These student’s names are entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Walmart gift card. Shining Stars – Takes place once a month. Students who are selected for Big Shout Out are recognized over the morning announcements and upon reporting to the Main Office, receive a “PBIS note” and sweet treat. Friday Shout Out – Teachers submit names electronically recognizing students who have excelled, tried their best, improved, etc. Rewards consistently well behaved students as well as students who struggle but have the occasional good day. What are the Benefits of Attending School Everyday? You will exceed in your classes. You can exempt your final exam (if you maintain at least an 85 average). You become eligible for great prizes such as Marta Cards, gift cards from Chic Fil A, Extended Lunch privileges, and much more! If you’re absent for any reason, bring in an excuse to the main office. Commit to coming to school EVERY DAY!
