S3-S5 Students Hundreds of healthcare professionals from across the UK will be volunteering to present and network with your students who are interested in - Medicine : Veterinary Medicine : Dentistry at our National Healthcare Weekends on the 16th and 17th June taking place at the University of Stirling! Please note that these events are filling quickly! It is a highly valuable opportunity for your students to network with a variety of healthcare professions, learn about work experience opportunities and how to make a successful application. Registration is £25 for students on the Saturday conferences and there is an optional UCAS lecture available on Sunday for each specialty. a competition for the Year of Young People If I Were Provost… a competition for the Year of Young People Young people in East Lothian are being asked to get creative and share their ideas on how to make the county a better place for young people, for a competition held as part of the Year of Young People. The council has launched If I Were Provost - a competition that asks young people what would they do if they were ‘in charge’, how they would improve life for young people in the region, what new policies they might introduce and why. You may wish to convey your ideas in: A short story; A letter to our Provost John McMillan A poem ; A diary entry or blog A graphic comic strip; Or any creative approach. There are two categories: category 1 (ages 8 – 13) category 2 (ages 14 – 18). One winner from each category will be invited to act as a Young Provost alongside Provost John McMillan at a number of events throughout 2018.
