No-Hub Couplings
Main P/N’s – MI-HUB and MI-XHUB MI-HUB Series MI-XHUB Series 100% Quality Control Tested Meets all Certification and testing standards (IAPMO/ UPC, CBA, and ASTM)
MI-HUB – “Regular Couplings” Tested and Certified to the ASTM Standard C1277-2009a, and C564 for the rubber gasket, CISPI 310-2010, CBA B602-2010 and listed with I.A.P.M.O. Tested to maintain 4.3 p.s.i. maximum line pressure with 10’ head. 5/16” driver required to tighten bolts to 60 inch lbs. minimum / maximum torque. Available sizes: 1 ½”, 2”, 3”, 3”x 2”, 4”, 4”x 2”, 4”x 3”, 5”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 15” MI-HUB Series 3
MI-HUB – “Regular Couplings” Design Features 1) Stainless Steel Shield Corrugated 301 S/S shield provides a solid surface for the bands to tighten against to ensure a uniform grip around the pipe / fittings. 2) Mechanical Interlocking Clamp Design A one piece 301 stainless steel screw housing eliminates leak paths than can develop with welded or staked clamps. 3) Floating Eyelet Design The stainless steel bands move independently from the corrugated stainless steel shield eliminating crimping during tightening which can lead to leaks. MI-HUB Series 4
MI-HUB – “Regular Couplings” Design Features 4) 5/16” Hex Head Screw The 305 stainless steel 5/16” hex head screws are engineered to accept 60-inch pounds of installation torque to ensure a secure band/ shield assembly around the pipe/fittings. 5) Formed Gasket Design The gasket is designed to form fit around the pipe so that when the clamping forces are applied, superior sealing pressure and holding power is achieved. MIFAB’s gaskets are made from a virgin elastomeric compound that meets the requirements of ASTM C564. MI-HUB Series 5
MI-HUB-NSF Certified Couplings Tested and Certified to the ASTM Standard C1277-2009A and C564 for the rubber gasket, listed with I.A.P.M.O. and NSF Certified to CISPI 310 Tested to maintain 4.3 p.s.i. maximum line pressure with 10’ head. 5/16” driver required to tighten bolts to 60 inch lbs. minimum / maximum torque. Available sizes: 1 ½”, 2”, 3”, 3”x 2”, 4”, 4”x 2”, 4”x 3”, 5”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 15” MI-HUB-NSF Series 6
MI-XHUB – “Extra Heavy Couplings” Tested and Certified to the ASTM Standard C1540-2011 and C564 for the rubber gasket, CBA B602-2010, and listed with I.A.P.M.O. FM1680-1989 Tested to maintain 15 p.s.i. maximum line pressure with 10’ head. 3/8” driver required to tighten bolts to 80 inch lbs. minimum, 100 lbs. maximum torque. Available sizes: 1 ½”, 2”, 3”, 3”x 2”, 4”, 4”x 2”, 4”x 3”, 5”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 15” MI-XHUB Series 7
MI-XHUB – “Extra Heavy Couplings” Design Features 1) Red Shield A distinctive red 304 stainless steel shield easily identifies MIFAB’s Heavy Duty no hub couplings (MI-XHUB). 2) Mechanical Interlocking Clamp Design A one piece 304 stainless steel screw housing eliminates leak paths than can develop with welded or staked clamps. 3) Floating Eyelet Design The stainless steel bands move independently from the corrugated stainless steel shield eliminating crimping during tightening which can lead to leaks. MI-XHUB Series 8
MI-XHUB – “Extra Heavy Couplings” Design Features 4) 3/8” Hex Head Screw The 305 stainless steel 3/8” hex head screws are engineered to accept 80-inch pounds of installation torque to ensure a secure band/ shield assembly around the pipe/fittings. 5) Formed Gasket Design The gasket is designed to form fit around the pipe so that when the clamping forces are applied, superior sealing pressure and holding power is achieved. MIFAB’s gaskets are made from a virgin elastomeric compound that meets the requirements of ASTM C564. MI-XHUB Series 9

USE JOB TRACKING WEBSITES TO WIN Hundreds of projects need couplings. Utilize Project Tracking Service – Reed, McGraw Hill, Etc. – by typing in Competitor’s Name in Spec Search Field. Every job that you are chasing on drains has at least as many dollars in couplings on it.
SALES STRATEGY Some contractors are loyal to a different drain manufacturer other than MIFAB. Typically, the relationship between the drain manufacturer’s representative and the contractor is a lot stronger than the relationship between the no hub coupling manufacturer’s representative and the contractor. Ask for the no hub coupling business from the contractor – starting place to build the relationship. 16
