Long Term (200 points): - Keep reading the problem - Make sure the team’s solution maximizes points - Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse…. - Check public clarifications often; February 15 submission deadline - Remember…only 8 minutes to present * Penalty for exceeding 8 minutes in P3: Classics…Leonardo’s Workshop and P5: Opposites Distract (Reference E.6) - Create a repair kit Style (50 points): - Make sure you identify your Style items (Reference section F.) - 2 identified items - 2 “Free Choice” - 1 overall effect

(Page 42 Program Guide) Communicate with parents (tournament schedule/lunch/snacks) Where did our props go? Who is your judge rep and volunteer rep? Coaches read the Program Guide (focus on chapters IV, V, VI)
Tournament Day…It’s Show Time!! NCCU is a new venue; plan extra time Expect some organized chaos! Manage team and parent expectations Long term competition logistics: - Arrive 30-45 minutes ahead - Be careful with your props, costumes, backdrops, etc. - Parents/family/friends can help transport into the staging area - Check-in Staging Competition Area - “Team are you ready? Team begin!”
Tournament Day…It’s Show Time!! Long term logistics (continued) - Team members only communicate with judges after the presentation (Coaches; Parents) - After the judges finish…move that stuff out - Celebrate their performance - Scores available in ~ 30 minutes
