Reducing the barriers to AR adoption – please support the AREA Safety Committee Dear AREA member, The AREA Safety Committee is focused on reducing the barriers to AR adoption and recently produced the AREA Safety infographic to define the potential risks and benefits of using AR wearables in industry (attached). The committee, co-chaired by AR industry experts from Boeing (Brian Laughlin and Greg Garrett), is focused on Identifying, classifying and prioritizing AR safety risks and developing and disseminating risk reduction recommendations. This includes working with global Safety focused agencies to help educate them. It is critical that the AREA members work together to develop AR Safety policies and educate / lobby the appropriate agencies. The Safety committee would benefit from your participation. Can you and/or or someone within your organisation join the Safety Committee to help influence the industry and reduce this barrier to adoption? The Committee also provides a great opportunity to discuss Safety issues with other members. The next Safety Committee will be 5th December 12.00pm ET - https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/681296301. Please confirm your participation, just send me an email with the appropriate contact details. I look forward to welcoming you to this important committee. Kind regards and thanks Mark
