Parent signature is required on the back of the course card for students that choose Pre-AP.

Pre-AP Reading/English Pre-AP English and Reading are challenging courses that typically involve more projects and hands-on assignments. Pre-AP English must be taken with Pre-AP Reading It is strongly recommended that you consult with your child’s current English/Reading teachers.

Pre-AP Math Pre-AP Math in 6th grade requires students to fulfill all the same requirements as a regular Math, plus some 7th grade requirements. If you are on the Pre-AP Math track, and you continue through 8th grade, then you will take Algebra I in 8th grade. Algebra I is a high school level math class. This means you will get high school credit for successfully completing Algebra I in 8th grade.
