Basfoliar Kelp (AfriKelp®) in Starter Treatment on Sunflowers Objective: Evaluate the effect of AfriKelp® under commercial conditions in sunflowers. Who: Compo France Where: Bellané, France Study Design: Controlled field studies, 4 trials Variety: Sunflowers When: Summer 2011 No. Treatment Yield (t/ha) 1 Control 2,8 2 Basfoliar Kelp (3l/ha at 3 leaf stage) 3,2 +14.1% Conclusion: As a result of 4 trials, the addition of 3 l Basfoliar Kelp per hectare increased yield on average by 14.1 % compared to the standard treatment. In addition, a better root development has been observed.
