The largest learning event in history during Computer Science Education Week: December 4-10, 2017

The Hour of Code is a global movement introducing tens of millions of students worldwide to computer science, inspiring kids to learn more, breaking stereotypes, and leaving them feeling empowered.

What is Code? Code is a set of step-by-step instructions (or rules) that tell computers what to do; it might be helpful to think of code as a recipe. People write code, code powers computers, and computers power many everyday objects like phones, watches, microwaves and cars. In fact, almost anything powered by electricity uses code. There are many names for people who code: coders, programmers, developers, computer scientists, software engineers, etc.
