The Five Components Of Fitness Muscular Strength Muscular Endurance Cardiovascular Endurance Flexibility Body Composition Each separate but related fitness or health component is as important as the next for total health. Each individual fitness component is as important as the next for overall health.

Muscular Strength Muscular strength is the maximum amount of weight one can lift one time. Example: Bench press max, or Dead lift

Muscular Endurance Muscular Endurance is the ability to use one’s muscles continually over time without tiring. Example: The ability to swing a baseball bat numerous times without fatigue. Example: The ability to do multiple push ups.

Cardiovascular Endurance Cardiovascular Endurance is the ability to run for long distances, without tiring.

Flexibility Flexibility is the ability to move joints and muscles through their full range of motion, which increases blood circulation. By maintaining proper muscular elasticity, will enable hard work without tearing muscles.

Body Composition Body composition is the amount of muscle and fat one’s body is made up of.
