Monique Mojika Originally from New York Currently lives in Toronto Kuna and Rappahannock Partial founder of Turtle Gals Performance Ensemble Monique is also the co-editor of the books Staging Coyote’s Dream: An Anthology of First Nations Drama in English with Ric Knowles. Recently left the position of Creative Director at Native Earth Performing Arts Centre.

Princess Pocahontas and the Blue Spots 1st full production – 1990 at the Theatre Passe Muraille Weaves and blends the past and present, North and South, history, documentary, and myth together Constructed by the 13 transformations Only two actresses specified for a variety of roles Theme: concept of change through Indigenous history Remind students that the transformations represent each moon in a lunar year. 13 moons, 4 directions = non-linear structure
