Line Graphs Line graphs are used to show a relationship between variables.

Making a Line Graph Make a data table. 2. Fill in the data. Remember to include your units in the labels! 3. Draw and label each axis of your graph. y-axis (vertical) = dependent variable x-axis (horizontal) = independent variable 4. Graph each value. Remember: TITLE, LABELS, UNITS!

Predicted Temperature for 2/20/2008 Time 6 AM 9 AM 12 PM 3 PM 6 PM 9 PM 12 AM Temp (°F) 24 27 28 25 21 18

Circle Graph Circle graphs, or pie charts, are used to represent percentages of a whole. The entire circle is equal to 100%.

Making a Circle Graph Find the total number. Find the degree or the percent of the circle by dividing each category number by the total number. Degree: Category #/Total # x 360° Percent: Category #/Total # x 100% 3. Draw the circle. 4. Draw the pieces. 5. Label each piece with a title and number.
