Outline of Course – IGCSE Music Components& Weighting Performing – Component 3 (30%) Composing – Component 4 (30%) Listening Unprepared – Component 1 (40%) Listening Prepared – Component 1 (as above)

Outline of Course –IGCSE Music Performing – Component 2 Any grade, instrument, piece of music and style Solo Performance Group Performance 4-10 minutes total performance time Marked out of 25 for each piece Recorded, Internally Assessed, Externally Moderated Rehearse and give Performances in Term 1, Term 2 and Term 3 (at least once if not twice per term).

Outline of Course – IGCSE Music Composing – Component 3 Two contrasting compositions of your own choice – one must be in a Western Tonal Style. Theory/ability to write and use notation on paper or on music software will be taught and expected to be used to create your work. No time limit One must be fully notated, both can be, one can be graphic or another form. Marked out of 50 for each piece. Sibelius, Scores & Recordings Internally assessed, Externally Moderated
