Classroom Policies Absences Plagiarism and Cheating Homework Grading/Retake Policy Grades will be awarded no later than 10 school days after the assignment is submitted (exceptions: TESTS /PROJECTS). Resources Authentic Resources Cultura Diaria Charlas/Noticias We will start each day with cultura diaria. I expect you to be in your seat, copying the daily fact into the designated section of your notebook when the bell rings (HOMEWORK OUT). THERE WILL BE BRIEF CONVERSATION TO DISCUSS THE DAILY FACT. PARTICIPATION MAY BE EARNED HERE. TO ENSURE DILIGENCE TO THIS TASK, THERE WILL BE A QUARTERLY QUIZ (OPEN NOTES). Cultura Diaria Resources TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS CLASS, PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF my teacher website and participate with the remind app. AUTHENTIC RESOURCES CAN BE ANYTHING FROM THE TARGET CULTURE THAT EXERCISES ONE’S SENSES, FROM VISUALS TO FOODS. AUTHENTIC RESOURCES ARE USED DAILY IN MY CLASSROOM AND WILL AID IN YOUR COMPREHENSIBILITY OF THE LANGUAGE. Authentic Resources Charlas/Noticias PRESENTATIONS (ABOUT 5 MINUTES) ON ANY TOPIC OF INTEREST/CURRENT EVENT (SCHOOL APPROPRIATE). STUDENT MUST COMPLETE / PER SEMESTER. FULL CREDIT IS ACHIEVED BY SPEAKING SPANISH FOR 5 MINUTES, EXPLAINING VOCABULARY AS NEEDED, PROMPTING SIMULATED CONVERSATION (5 QUESTIONS), AND BEING PREPARED. A NOTE CARD IS PERMITTED FIRST SEMESTER, ONLY TO BE USED AS A REFERENCE. IF STUDENT READS WORD FOR WORD, A ZERO IS EARNED. EXTRA CREDIT IS ACHIEVED BY COMPLETING EXTRA charlas/noticias!
