Football Field Goal Science Project By:Nickolis Barrientos 12/2/2014

Question Which yard line has a better chance of kicking the football successfully into the field goal?

Background I choose this topic because i am bad at kicking footballs into the field goal.I just always kick the ball sideways or no where near the goal. So I want to figure out what yard line would be more easier to kick the ball into the goal so I know how to make my field goal kicks alot more.

Variables Independent Variable:The distance on the football field Dependent Variable:Success Rate Controls:The field, weather, shoe, football

Hypothesis If I kick the football from the 20 yard line then it will be the most successful.

Materials Cleats Football Football field

Procedure Test the 10 yard line set the football up. Put the football on tee. Then kick the football. After that test the football at the 20 yard line. Then write down which one had a better success rate.

Data 10 yard line test 1 successfull 20 yard line failed

Bar Graph

Conclusion The qwestion asked me which yard line would have a better success rate.So I tested it and the 10 yard line has a better success rate. The 20 yard line has the least success rate.If i did the 15 yard line then it would probably have good success rate to.
