Kindergarten Parent Orientation! Welcome to: Wellington Elementary School

Kindergarten Camp August 15th -21st Your child will not be assigned to a specific teacher for the first 5 days of school.  Students will rotate through the 4 SIP kindergarten classrooms or the 2 Traditional Kindergarten classrooms. Each day of camp your child will be participating in crafts, games, singing, fine-motor activities, and educational lessons which promote cooperation, problem-solving, and a sense of community.

Kindergarten Camp August 15th -21st Each morning before school Kindergarteners will come to the cafeteria. We will have assigned tables for each group. We will be there to help your child find the correct table. Each day of camp we will start in the cafeteria and walk together to the classrooms, after the bell rings. We usually stay in the cafeteria for a few minutes so we can take attendance, sing a song, play a game and get organized for a great day.

Kindergarten Camp The first week Students will stay in an assigned group and will rotate through each teacher. SIP has 4 classrooms and traditional will rotate through 2 classrooms. During this time students could be rearranged daily. On Aug. 21st, we will have our class reveal, where every student will find out their homeroom teacher and get their kindergarten shirt.   A Letter will come home that day informing you of your child’s official Teacher.

Older siblings will come to the kindergarten student for pick up. Due to heat and safety concerns, we will have K-2 wait inside for their ride and will be walked out to their car when it is time.
