Mrs. Doyle’s Kindergarten Character Education Word for We are very excited about the upcoming 100th day of school! On Monday, January 25th your child will have been in school for 100 days, or as we like to say “we are 100 days smarter”. Information was sent home about a special counting activity you will need to complete at home. Also, a reminder note was sent home if you signed up to send in items for our 100’s Day Celebration. In the Classroom The end of the year is fast approaching and I will be testing your child on fourth quarter skills for report cards. Please continue to read and write with your child, identify basic sight words, practice counting by 1’s, and 10’s to 100, add and subtract objects, identify shapes, etc. Da Dates to Remember May 5th- PTA Carnival (6:00-8:00pm) May 9th- South Field Day May 18th –Last Day of School/half day for students June 5-30- Summer School s 8s Don’t Forget: *If you are interested in sending your child to summer school, please go to   http://www.ozark.k12.mo.us/Page/10029 * Be sure your child has money in their account if they need a school lunch or milk at snack time. Effective Monday, May 1, there will be no more charging of meals or snack milk. Look What’s Happening If your child has a summer birthday, they are welcome to send in a special snack during the next two weeks of school and we will celebrate that summer birthday. (Remember, no parties at school and only store bought treats.) Just send a note letting me know a snack is coming. Character Education Word for May is Perseverance Trying again and again, never giving up. Commitment to hard work, patience, and endurance.
