Class POLICIES Behavior Policy Every student is expected to try their best both in and out of the classroom. A huge emphasis is placed on taking responsibility for one's own actions and facing the consequences that may result. I firmly believe in a positive learning environment. When disruption takes place everyone loses valuable learning time. Individually Class Dojo points will be awarded for encouraging positive behavior. Students will work as in teams to earn table points and a class to earn marbles in the jar.

Class POLICIES Birthdays Your child's special day is important for us in the class too! Birthdays are important milestones for children. We DO NOT distribute birthday treats at school. Instead, we ask that you bring 25 non-perishable items to contribute to our birthday ```goody bags on AUGUST 23rd. These items will be placed in a goody bag and passed out to each child when it is their birthday. Summer birthdays will be celebrated during the last month of school.  ***Please be aware that food items such as cupcakes will are not be distributed at school.***

Class POLICIES Snack & Water Your child should bring a healthy snack to recess each day. No candy No nuts Students are allowed to bring a water bottle to school. Please make sure to only send a water bottle that is "spill proof“. If your child has difficulty opening and closing a plastic one, it can spill all over their work. Lunch Kindergarten at Amador does not include lunch. Please be sure to provide your child with a healthy and balanced snack.

Classroom RULES School Rules: Be Respectful Be Responsible Be Ready to Learn Five class rules

Homework POLICY Starting in September, there will be nightly homework. •Assignments to be found on my website. •Homework due Friday! To be given credit its to be turned in the designated bin.

Grading POLICY Kindergarten grades are done a little differently than the rest of the school. We do comprehensive testing each trimester. You will receive a report card three a times year as well.

Attendance POLICY School starts at 8:35 Once doors are closed, you are late. You MUST check in with the office. All early dismissals MUST go through the office. If your student will be missing more than 10 consecutive days, you can go on Independent study. The request has to be made at least ten days in advance.

Field TRIPS All on-site Many throughout the year Volunteers will be needed, and I will get that information to you as soon as I have it!

I can’t wait for classroom volunteers... Parent VOLUNTEERS I can’t wait for classroom volunteers... My sign up will be available soon. Please remember many of these jobs are a year long commitment. There also will be opportunities to work in my room for special events throughout the year!
