Jiangbin Zheng’s Brief Biography Professor Jiangbin Zheng, 郑 江 滨, is a supervisor of PhD student and the Vice Dean of School of Software and Microelectronics at Northwestern Polytechnical University, (NPU). His research interests focus mainly on intelligent information processing, visual computing and multimedia signal processing, especially on image/video analysis, object detection and tracking, visual surveillance, 3- D reconstruction, image forgery detection, computer vision, pattern recognition, motion estimation and more recently big data , The Internet of things and software engineering. He is a manager of many national projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High Technology Plan, National Project, National Advanced Research Project and Aerospace Support Technology Fund. He has received many competitive national or regional grants including two grant awarded National DS&T Progress Award, two grants awarded by Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award, and one grant awarded by Shaanxi Province Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper Award. He has published more than 100 journal/conference papers covering a wide range of topics in image/video analytics, pattern recognition and machine learning. Some of them has been published in premier international conferences such as ICCV, ACM MM and IEEE Transactions journals. He has received 9 invention patents such as LBS-based Information Push Software (2017), Tourism Information Management Analysis System (2017). He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from Northwestern Polytechnical University, major in Computer Science, in 1993, 1996, and 2002, respectively. Since 2000, he has been a senior researcher in University of Sydney, Australia, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. He is a Director of National International Software Training Center (Xi’an) of China International Talent Exchange Foundation. He is a Director of ShaanXi Provincial Engineering Research Center of Mobile Information Technology, and he is also the Vice Director of UTS- NPU International Joint Laboratory on Digital Media and Intelligent Networks.
