Objective: To write algebraic proofs.

Algebra Proofs You have solved algebraic equations last year, but now it is time to justify the steps you have practiced. In this class you cannot take without thinking or act without thinking. In proof writing, those are a dangerous habits! The following slide is a list of the reasons one can give for each algebraic step one may take while solving an algebraic equation for the variable. This process closely resembles two-column proofs in geometry. For every statement there is a factual reasoning or justification.
