WFTO 25th Anniversary Celebrating 25 years of WFTO Foreseen celebration activities, divided into 3 sets of goals: Information goal: Worldwide recognition and awareness of WFTO and Fair Trade Education goal: Worldwide support for WFTO and Fair Trade by the new generations Marketing goal: Worldwide promotion of WFTO and Fair Trade WFTO-Europe Conference 12 June 2014 WFTO.COM

Information goal Worldwide recognition and awareness of WFTO and Fair Trade 1. COFFEE TABLE BOOK 2. TIMELINE 3. EVENTS 1. We would like to publicise a coffee table book with beautiful artistic photos accompanied by stories telling the history of the Fair Trade movement and ideas for the future. The focus of the book would be on Fair Trade people (especially the members), on the positive effects of Fair Trade and on the 10 principles of Fair Trade. 2. We would like to create an online timeline in the form of an app. A heading timeline would tell the history of WFTO and maybe a second heading timeline would tell the history of Fair Trade. Members would be able to add their own history (also in the form of a timeline) to the 2 main timelines. 3. We would like members and country networks to organise events. If you were already planning on organising any events in the time period September 2014 to May 2015 it would be a great opportunity to include a celebration for the 25th anniversary in those events. We did some brainstorming as well on what kind of events could be interesting and we came up with the following ideas: music festivals, marathon runs, parades, markets, food festivals, meals, conferences and so on. We could provide you with materials and toolkits for celebrations. It would be good if these events can attract some media attention to raise the overall awareness of Fair Trade in your country. WFTO-Europe Conference 12 June 2014 WFTO.COM

Marketing goal Worldwide promotion of WFTO and Fair Trade Education goal Worldwide support for WFTO and Fair Trade by the new generations 4. MEMORY GAME Marketing goal Worldwide promotion of WFTO and Fair Trade 4. We would like to make an online and, if possible, a hard copy memory game composed of photos from members and their stories. This can be a nice tool to use in schools and at the same time the online version could become very popular if it is shared significantly on social media. 5. We would like to organise an exhibition in Milan, during the WFTO Conference 2015, showing beautiful artistic photos and stories of the members. This exhibition could be related to the coffee table book. 6. We would like to make use of social media to spread the word of Fair Trade. It would be nice if you can share your events on facebook, twitter and blogs, and post videos of your celebrations on youtube. Apart from that we would also like the traditional media (newspapers, television, magazines, …) to tell our/your story as much as possible. 5. EXHIBITION 6.
