You are back at school after the holiday break You are back at school after the holiday break. Let’s look back at what happened since we were last together.

Michael Jackson passed away – how many of you cried Michael Jackson passed away – how many of you cried? How many of you cared?

Me holiday I, Mtha, took my wife away on a romantic road trip.

Mark at a lot of meat at the Carnivore’s Restautant.

Mark’s daughter, Ashley got bitten by a lion.

I want you to imagine that your whole country has cast their vote for one of three candidates – and the votes are equal. Your vote will determine who is the leader of your country. Here are the three candidates – you must choose one.

Candidate A Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day. Candidate B He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening. Candidate C He is a decorated war hero Candidate C He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife. If you voted for C – you voted for Hitler and he is the new leader of your country. You cannot judge a book by it’s cover.

“Don’t trip! He ain’t through with me yet.” -Steve Harvey Steve Harvey recently did a standup comedy session at a large church in the US. He called his show: “Don’t trip! He ain’t through with me yet.” What a great statement.

We have been called to follow Jesus.

To be like Jesus.

And that means war – we end up in a battle and get injured sometimes.

Remember The Vision – it is an army of young people! An army!

An army that is disciplined An army that is disciplined. They beat their bodies into submission – they are soldiers who would take a buller for one of the comrades.

They are willing to lay down their life for the cause They are willing to lay down their life for the cause. They choose to lose so they can hear the “well done” message from Jesus.

At Inspired (The SCA at Greenside High) we are looking for leaders to lead our army – to become part of a leadership team that will develop what God is already doing. We are looking for young leaders with three qualities – (1) They can see the future – they are visionaries. They don’t just think about today – but they look into the future and dream a better tomorrow.

(2) They are able to share the vision with others – like the coach inspiriting the team in this picture.

(3) They are able to create and work with a team of others - They are not lone rangers – they involve people in the work.

Me holiday So today we are asking you to be part of a nomination and voting procedure. We are going to give you each two pieces of paper and we want you to write one name on each piece – someone, it could even be your own name, that you think will make a good leader on the team.

Me holiday Next week we are going to vote on the names that were nominated!
