Palliative care clinical studies collaborative: membership Overview Applications are welcome from health professionals and researchers interested in palliative and supportive care clinical trials. Full clinical researcher or associate membership is available to Australian and international health professionals and researchers. Membership is free; no annual renewal required.
Benefits Membership benefits include: Palliative care clinical studies collaborative: membership Benefits Membership benefits include: access to professional and research networks in the palliative and supportive care field access to concept development workshops and other PaCCSC support to develop trial concepts regular newsletters and information about PaCCSC activities including opportunities to be involved in PaCCSC clinical trials and clinical trial development invitation to attend the PaCCSC annual scientific meeting and other workshops organised by PaCCSC voting rights on committee memberships ability to join any of the symptom node subcommittees in the following areas: pain; cognitive & neurological; appetite & cachexia; nausea; breathlessness; fatigue; and gut dysfunction.
Membership levels: Full clinical researcher Palliative care clinical studies collaborative: membership Membership levels: Full clinical researcher Full clinical researcher membership is available to those who are active clinical researchers who can demonstrate: success in competing for research funds in a context relevant to palliative care; and completing studies against those research funds; and publishing the results in peer reviewed journals.
Membership levels: Associate membership Palliative care clinical studies collaborative: membership Membership levels: Associate membership Associate membership is open to: anyone with an interest in palliative care clinical research a nominee who is a full or associate member is required to put forward the nomination.
Membership levels: Invited expert Palliative care clinical studies collaborative: membership Membership levels: Invited expert Invited experts are: biostatisticians, trial methodology experts, health economists, clinical pharmacologists, ethicists, etc. recognised as individuals with extensive knowledge based on research, experience, or occupation in a particular area of study. Invited experts: may be called upon for advice on their respective subject must be nominated by a full or associate member.
Palliative care clinical studies collaborative: membership How to apply Discuss your application with a current PaCCSC member who can nominate you: You will also need another PaCCSC member to second the nomination. If you are not currently in contact with any PaCCSC members, email PaCCSC@uts.edu.au and you will be put in touch with someone to discuss your application. Submit your online membership application: Go to www.uts.edu.au/paccsc and click on ‘Membership’ Read the information then click on ‘APPLY’ to access the application form. Fill in the online form then click ‘Finish’. Your application will be assessed and you will be notified of the outcome via email within three to five business days.
