Navigating Your myAccess Account

You will be asked to login using your MU Pawprint and password Log In to myAccess… To access your account go to the Disability Center’s website; disabilitycenter.missouri.edu and click on the “myAccess” button. You will be asked to login using your MU Pawprint and password

All of the features and sections in this tutorial are accessible on the left-hand side in your myAccess account.

My Dashboard My Dashboard is the “homepage” for your myAccess account. In this section you will see: “Your To Do List”- this will list anything that you need to complete, such as requesting your accommodations for the current semester if you haven’t done so already. Any consent forms that you have signed for the Disability Center View your classes that you are currently enrolled in

My Profile My Profile is the section where you can update your personal information if needed. For example, your preferred name and/or your personal information. Once you have entered in your profile updates, click “Update Your Profile” to save the information.

SMS (Text Messaging) SMS (Text Messaging) is the section of your myAccess account where you can control whether or not you would like to receive text messages from the Disability Center regarding upcoming appointments and/or your accommodations. You have the option to turn the feature on or off Choose which type of text messages to receive. *You must enter a valid cell phone number to be able to receive these messages. *You can also update your preferences by clicking on the “Update Preference” button in the green SMS (Text Messaging) box on the top, left-hand side of your account (circled in yellow).

Accommodation Plan Modification Request The Accommodation Plan Modification Request Form is a form to request additional accommodations other than the ones you already have established. There is a separate tutorial on how to submit this form.

My Mailbox In the “My Mailbox” tab you will be able to access a log of email communication from the Disability Center. The communications in the log include your Accommodation Plan, upcoming appointment reminders, communication regarding specific accommodations, etc. You will also have a copy of these emails sent to your MU email account.

List Information Release Consents If you are eligible to apply for one-on-one tutoring through the Learning Center, you will need to complete the Learning Center Release of Information Form. You’ll access this form through the Information Release Consents section of myAccess. Choose the consent type “Learning Center” and click “Continue to Specify Additional Information”

Information Release Consents… Be sure to enter in the following information: Full Name Address Phone Number The “Additional Notes” section is not required to have anything entered in that section. Be sure to click the “Submit” button to finalize the consent form.

Information Release Consents… Once you submit the consent form it will take you back to the List Information Release Consents page. The completed consent will list below and you’ll be able to view it and make any updates/changes if needed.

My Eligibility My Eligibility is the section where most of your approved accommodations will be listed for your information. If you have any specific “other” accommodations they won’t show up here. They will, however, generate on your letters that you send to your instructors. If you feel there are errors in this section please contact the Disability Center to set up a meeting with your Access Advisor to discuss your accommodations.

List Accommodations In the “List Accommodations” section you will be able to see a list of the courses you are enrolled in and have the ability to request accommodations for each individual course. If any of the information in this section is incorrect please contact the office at (573) 882-4696 or by email disabilitycenter@missouri.edu

List Accommodations… You can also go into any of your accommodation requests and make any modifications to the requests such as adding You will not be able to generate your Accommodation Notification Letters in this section, however, you will be able to see which accommodations you chose for each course and add or delete accommodations as needed. There is a separate tutorial on how to modify your requests located in the “myAccess Student Guide” on the Disability Center website.

My Signed Forms My Signed Forms is the section in myAccess where the “Required Forms” are listed that you signed upon logging into myAccess for the first time. This includes the “Accommodations Responsibilities Checklist”. The content for each required form is viewable all term long in case you ever need to reference back to certain information included in the forms.
