Solar [Kaycie, Seth, Ryan]

Solar Energy? Solar Energy is energy provided by the sun. Solar Energy is formed by solar radiation which makes solar electricity possible. Solar Energy can be used as Electricity or Heat. Solar Energy travels at a speed of 186,000 miles per second.

Renewable or Nonrenewable??????? Solar Energy is Renewable because it doesn’t take long to get energy from the sun, it is sustainable and totally inexhaustible, it is a non polluting source of energy and it does not emit any greenhouse gases when producing electricity.

How is Solar Energy Produced Solar Energy is produced by the sun hitting the Solar Panels. The Panels convert the sun’s rays into electricity exciting electrons in silicon cells. The Panels convert the sun’s ray into electricity.

Ways to turn Solar Energy into Energy we can use Solar collectors capture the sunlight and turn it into heat. The Solar cells turn the energy into electricity. People heat and water their houses uses the sun’s energy.

Who uses Solar Energy and for what reasons??? People use Solar Panels to convert light from the sun, which are composed by particles of energy called “photons”. It can be used to power electrical loads.

Effect of using Solar Energy on the Environment? Environmental Impacts associated with solar power , habitat loss , water use and use of hazardous materials in manufacturing. Solar Energy can have a positive effect when using Solar Energy.

Important facts about Solar Energy? Most important source of energy, it is renewable source of energy unlike non renewable sources, Solar Energy technologies use the sun’s energy to light homes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HciKU63dLtA
