Sun-Earth Day featuring OpenSpace At AMNH On 3/24/18 Presenters Masha Kuznetsova, Director at the Community Coordinated Modeling Center, NGSFC Leila Mays, Deputy Director at the Community Coordinated Modeling Center, NGSFC Jon Linker, President at Predictive Science Inc. Ikuo Nakamura, Director of Aurora Borealis Presented visualizations of the Sun’s interaction with Earth’s magnetosphere in 3D using the NASA-funded, open source OpenSpace software in AMNH’s LeFrak giant screen 3D theater. Photos from the August 2017 total solar eclipse were also presented. In addition, the program included a film screening of Aurora Borealis, which featured a compilation of aurora video in 3D.
