What is boots to business? No cost two –step entrepreneurship training program offered by SBA within DODTAP for transitioning SVM & their spouses Helps SVM & spouses improve business skills & learn to use and access tools & resources necessary to start and maintain a successful business
Step 1 Introduction to entrepreneurship two day course- one of the three TGPS additional tracks. Register with local FFSC Also available “24/7” via Joint Knowledge Online (JKO)
Step 2 8 -weeks follow on courses given through Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF)at Syracuse University or Mississippi State University Online registration code issued to SVM & spouse during step 1
Benefits Decide if starting business is the right path Create a business plan Research Business location Research marketing techniques Legal requirements
Conclusion No cost program Available to transitioning and retiring SVM & their dependents Participation in the program does not disqualify SVM &dependents from attending the other two additional tracks offered.
