YOUR Graduation Program A three year program Courses = Credits Recommended 88 credits Provincial Literacy Assessment Provincial Numeracy Assessment Career Exploration Volunteer/Work Experience Daily Physical Activity In 2004, the Ministry of Education changed the Graduation Program. Some of the more substantial changes include… A three year program (grades 10, 11 and 12) Provincial Exams in Grades 10, 11 and 12 Planning and Portfolio

Graduation Requirements Grade 11 Language Arts Social Studies Mathematics Science Planning 10 Electives aimed towards Focus Area Grade 10 English Social Studies Mathematics Science PE or Dance 12 credits of electives Grade 12 Language Arts At least 4 Grade 12 Courses Graduation Transitions Electives aimed towards Focus Area Grade 10 must have a full time schedule

Three Year Rule Students in our School District now have 3 years from the time they enter Grade 10 to complete graduation requirements in their District Secondary School.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS If you have to miss a class a parent/guardian must phone the attendance line If you arrive late or leave early, you must sign in and out at the office If you will be away for a long period of time, please email your teachers and contact the office Students are expected to be in class on time and prepared to learn. If they are not they can be withdrawn from a course
