Interactive Hand-Held Projectors Paul Beardsley - MRL Clifton Forlines – MRL Ramesh Raskar – MRL Jeroen VanBaar - MTL

Hand-Held Projectors Mitsubishi Electric Pocket Projector expected release date 2005 weight 14oz Projectors are traditionally used in a fixed position. But new, smaller projectors are suitable for hand-held use. MERL is building prototypes that demonstrate smart hand-held projection.

Why use a Hand-Held Projector? Problem: cellphones and PDAs have small screens. Solution: augment the cellphone or PDA with a built-in projector for a larger display. Our Prototype: shows hand-held projection and a way to interact with the projection.
