The VMET Lists military job experience and training in civilian terms Civilian equivalent job titles (ONET) Recommends college credit information (ACE) Identify possible certification/waiver of apprenticeship requirements Lists any language proficiencies Contains detailed descriptions of civilian equivalent job skills and training that you acquired while in the military Gathers all reported demographic, training, and experience records in one place

Why is this important to TSMs? VMET is used in discussing civilian occupations related to your military occupation Can assist in preparing a resume, and translating military terminology and training into civilian terms Can assist in identifying strengths when searching for employment Must bring to TGPS Take it to TGPS! When is VMET updated? VMET documents are updated quarterly in January, April, July, and October every year for the previous fiscal quarter. All USN individuals should review and discuss report errors with their Personnel Office and/or Command Career Counselor before separation
