Presentation transcript:

Email Email will be the #1 driver of your crowdfunding campaign. Keep your email to 150 words or less. Include a clear call to action. You don’t want your reader to guess what you want them to do. Don’t shy from sending emails to potential donors every 5-10 days if they have not responded. Emails can easily be overlooked and forgotten about. Personalize emails as much as you can. Include several reasons why people should give to your campaign and what their gifts will do. Email has been shown to be a number one converter for crowdfunding campaigns – so make sure you are being consistent Send emails at a minimum of once a week – if you’re not receiving a response/gift, continue to email – they can be lost in the noise so be persistent – it can take up to seven asks before someone feels compelled to give Keep your emails short – so use short words, sentence, and paragraphs so you’re keeping your readers attention Include a clear call to action – you want the reader to know what you want them to do – so ask them to give and ask them to share (be sure to include your campaign link) Keep it personal – use their first name and add any relevant personal touches that make sense for each contact Make it compelling – provide reasons why they should give

Fundraising Emails and Updates Use these templates to model emails to your community as well as update posts on your campaign page; it is best to utilize both avenues to effectively publicize your cause. For the sake of simplicity, the two messages can be almost entirely a copy-paste, but creativity is certainly encouraged! Soft launch announcement To increase your chances of a strong campaign launch, give your community a sneak peak of your campaign page two to three days prior to it officially launching. Soft Launch Announcement Template Campaign launch announcement The day of your campaign launch is the most important day of your campaign! Start out strong by sharing the news with your entire community. Campaign Launch Announcement Template First few days Within the first few days of your campaign, celebrate your team’s progress with your community by customizing and sending this email template and posting a campaign update. First Few Days Announcement Template End of week one update On day seven of your campaign, share with your community a quick note about the progress your team has had so far. End of Week One Update Template Halfway there update When your campaign is half over, remind your community about your team’s mission and the impact you hope to create through the success of your project. Halfway There Update Template We have several email templates for you to use – they are very basic so you’re going to need to customize them to suit your individual campaign needs Included are launch announcements, halfway emails, a few days left, and so on and so forth
