the Kindergarten teachers Wow! Can you believe the end of the 1st nine weeks is near? Students have shown so much growth. We look forward to building on their academic and social skills as we begin an exciting 2nd nine weeks. With Wildcat Love, the Kindergarten teachers *Shop w/Scrip Starts - Nov 1 *Election Day - Nov 7    (No School for students/Conferences) *PTO Meeting - Nov 8 *Veterans Day - Nov 10 (No School) *Fall Picture Retakes - Nov 15 *Shop w/Scrip Orders Due - Nov 15 * Family Breakout Night - Nov 15 * Literacy Night (more info to come) * Shop w/Scrip Delivered - Nov 20 *Thanksgiving Break - Nov 22-24 (No School) Cold Weather- With the cold weather here, please send your child to school with a warm jacket or sweater each day. Make sure all jackets and outerwear are labeled with your child’s name. The children often do not recognize their belongings and a label saves us a lot of confusion. Popcorn Fridays: Nov 3 & 17 Kindercats love popcorn! Pricing is .50 a bag. Snack: We will have a late lunch each day. Please send a healthy snack for your child to enjoy at 10:45. Social Studies We will be learning about Past & Present and Thanksgiving Science We will be learning about Magnets Math We will continue to practice counting to 100. We will continue to sort objects, learn to make patterns, predicting what comes next, and compare numbers. Reading Our phonics lessons include working on letters Mm, Aa, Ss, Tt, Nn, Ii, and Ff. We will also learn about rhyme and listening for the beginning sound in a word as well as syllables. Our sight words for the 2nd nine weeks include: and, do, got, had, has, he, his, in, it, look, on, big, did, for, get, have, as. Please continue to review the 1st quarter words too: I, a, am, at, can, go, is, me, my, see, the, to, up, we, like.
