Leaving the Classroom Procedure Make sure it is an appropriate time to leave class. Let the teacher know you need to leave the classroom. One finger (index finger) = Restroom Two fingers = Locker Three fingers = Nurse Four fingers = Other (office/guidance/media center) If the teacher gives permission, sign out on the sheet on the counter by the door and take the appropriate pass. When you return, sign back in and return the pass.

Respect Responsibility Community Bathroom Expectations Quickly use and exit   Treat school property with care Keep area neat and clean Use appropriate voice levels Use between classes or Sign out and carry bathroom pass Return to class and get on task Wash Hands Leave the bathroom in good condition

Entering Class Procedure At the beginning of class . . . Find assigned seat. Sharpen pencil. Take out Warm Up (usually Google Classroom). This means you will have to log on to your computer. If absent, complete “Make-Up Work” contract.

Missing/Make-Up Work Procedure If you are absent . . . At the beginning of class, go to the back wall and fill out a make-up work contract. Once you complete the contract, return the contract. Complete work and turn in no later than scheduled date.

Fire Drill Procedures Line up at the door. Take a left out of the classroom. Take a right at the end of the hall towards the breezeway. Take a right at the breezeway doors to exit the building. Walk to the fields quickly and quietly.

Lockdown Procedures Students move away from doors/windows Crouch down against walls away from windows Remain with the teacher that you are with during a lockdown If you are in the hallway/bathroom. . . return to classroom immediately

Bad Weather Procedure Report to the 8th grade boys bathroom as a class. Quickly and quietly.

Classroom Constitution In your group, come up with two rules (make them reasonable) that you believe our class should have. Then as a class, we will vote on the top six.
