Lord of the Flies

Throughout history, brilliant leaders led many great events that have a vital influence on our world. In this story, there are some boys who try to govern themselves, like Ralph Jack or Piggy, they show us different colorful sides of human beings. Let’s talk about who is the best leader. (about Simon I can’t find necessary spirit like leadership from him so unfortunately he is out. )

A good leader. To choose a good leader, we need to know what is a good leader, in my opinion, a good leader must protect his people and lead them to happy and safe life.

Ralph Jack Vs.

Jack He can take a lesson from Ralph like using glasses to make fire and find a place as shelter too. Jack can lead his hunters to go hunting for delicious meat, and they have strength and weapons like spear to protect his people. With fire ,meat ,safe life, boys can have fun and don’t need to keep an eye on the fire anytime, because their leader Jack will go and steal the fire from Ralph. Though somebody may dislike Jack because he leads to kill people and steals glasses, sometime he keeps hunting to indicate his power and courage. But he indeed benefits his people by doing that.

Ralph He is a wise mature leader with the help of Piggy, he can make proper choices and use intelligence to fight against the nature. He is kind but his kindness makes him weak, when facing big events, he can’t fight against Jack face to face, he is scared to talk about beasts even if he knows the truth of it. He lost his power little by little until the end.

Can we find the same kind of leader like Ralph or Jack in our world? For me, Ralph is more like the modern leaders that works our world now, in my opinion, he is the model of Obama, though Obama is the president of America, he can’t achieve the medical innovation, and there is no Obama gun ban on the way. So according to the result of their leader careers, they are pretty similar to each other. Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man's heart, and the fall through the air of the true, wise friend called Piggy.

Can we find the same kind of leader like Ralph or Jack in our world? To choose a leader like Jack, Bin Ladden can be a good choice, though he is not a great leader, but his lead style is very similar to Jack’s. He kills people who are not his friends and fights for money and his people, he is the followers’ belief, just like Jack, he uses benefits like ‘meat’ to attract those people and call them into his army. Which is better--to have laws and agree, or to hunt and kill?

This picture shows Jack’s ambition to the conch like power.
