About Computer Apps... Topics Covered: Intro to Computer Apps. Video Editing Internet Safety Keyboarding (Typing.com) Graphic Design Google Docs (Word) Google Slides (Powerpoint) Google Sheets (Excel)** Google Forms (Surveys)** Google Sites (Web Pages)** Digital Storytelling** Other new things that pop up along the way ** = 8th Grade Only

Grading All projects will have a specific rubric that will be used for grading. It will be handed out to the students while completing the projects. If your child follows the guidelines and turns assignments in on time, he/she will be successful in this class. Late assignments lose points for each class that it is late. If your child is absent for whatever reason, most things can be done from home. If they remind me that they were absent, I am more than happy to help them. It is encouraged that they make up any late work before the next class so they are not behind.

Homework All assignments are started in class. Any assignment that is not completed in class becomes homework. Students are able to stay after school and use the computers in the classroom or access anything they do on Google Drive at home. Due dates are posted on my school webpage under homework for parents to view.

What we’ve worked on so far... We started creating About Me “videos” using WeVideo. Students searched images or took pictures from home and added captions to tell more about themselves. Computers, Windows, and Google Applications basics
