Theme A miracle is the direct operation of divine power that results in an effect above the ordinary. John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

(#27) (Mt. 14:15-21) 2. 7 loaves & 2 fish fed 4,000 men plus women & children. (#28) (Mt. 15:32-39) 3. He turned approximately 120 gallons of water into high-quality wine. (#26)

II. Christ’s Authority Over Nature B. Weather & Laws of Physics 1. The Lord stopped the storm & saved the lives of the disciples. (#20) (Mt. 8:23-27) 2. The disciples began to cross the Sea of Galilee while Christ remained behind to pray. Later He went to them by walking on the water (#21) (Mt. 14:22-33)

II. Christ’s Authority Over Nature C. Plant & Animal Life 1. 3 times He gave direction to fish a. Peter caught the fish to pay the taxes (#22) (Mt. 17:24-27) b. Two other times they cast their nets in a slightly different place…large catch (#23,24) 2. Fig tree not bearing fruit, pronounced judgement, next day it was withered. (#25) (Mt. 21:17-22)

III. Christ’s Authority Over Physical Life & Health A. His healings are significant 1. Seriousness & variety of diseases cured. 2. He cured instantly & supernaturally.

Matthew 4:24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.

Matthew 8:16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

Matthew 14:36 and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.
